Warranty & Jewellery Care

Every MIRAGO piece is individually handcrafted with care using carefully selected gemstones, crystals, beads and quality metal components.

To keep your jewellery looking beautiful for as long as possible, please follow these simple care recommendations.

JEWELLERY CARE

MIRAGO jewellery should always be handled with care. Avoid knocking, dropping, bending or scratching your jewellery and, when it is not being worn, store it separately in its original packaging or a soft jewellery pouch, away from direct sunlight, moisture and excessive heat.

To protect the finish of your jewellery:

  • Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, deodorant, cosmetics, creams, oils, cleaning products and other chemicals.
  • Put your jewellery on after applying perfume, cosmetics and hairspray.
  • Remove jewellery before showering, bathing or swimming.
  • Do not wear your jewellery in swimming pools, spas, saunas or during sporting activities.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to perspiration and moisture.
  • After wearing, gently wipe your jewellery with a clean, soft, dry cloth before storing it.

Please take particular care with gold-plated components, as plating will naturally wear over time depending on how often the jewellery is worn and its exposure to skin, moisture, cosmetics and chemicals.

Natural gemstones should also be treated gently. Avoid harsh jewellery cleaners or chemicals unless you are certain they are suitable for the particular gemstone.

NATURAL GEMSTONES

Natural gemstones are individually created by nature. Variations in colour, pattern, texture, inclusions, shape and size are normal and are part of their natural beauty.

These individual characteristics are not considered manufacturing defects.

WARRANTY AGAINST MANUFACTURING DEFECTS

MIRAGO provides a 24-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the original date of purchase.

If your jewellery is found to have a manufacturing defect within this period, MIRAGO will assess the piece and, where appropriate, repair or replace the item.

The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature of the fault, the availability of materials and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

This warranty is in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The MIRAGO warranty against manufacturing defects does not cover damage or changes resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Accidental damage, loss or breakage.
  • Knocking, scratching, bending or crushing.
  • Improper use, storage or handling.
  • Exposure to water, perfumes, cosmetics, chemicals, perspiration or cleaning products.
  • Natural tarnishing or discolouration occurring over time.
  • Gradual wearing of gold plating or other surface finishes.
  • Damage caused by repairs, alterations or modifications carried out by someone other than MIRAGO.
  • Natural variations or characteristics of gemstones and other natural materials.

Normal changes in the appearance of jewellery through regular wear are not considered manufacturing defects.

MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM

To make a warranty claim, please contact MIRAGO and provide:

  • Your name and contact details.
  • Proof of purchase.
  • A brief description of the problem.
  • Clear photographs of the jewellery and the area of concern.

Please do not return jewellery before contacting MIRAGO.

Once your claim has been reviewed, you will be provided with instructions for returning the jewellery if an inspection is required.

If the item is found to have a manufacturing defect covered by the warranty, MIRAGO will arrange an appropriate repair or replacement.

If the damage is not covered by the warranty but the jewellery can be repaired, MIRAGO may offer a repair service and advise you of any costs before proceeding.
